Today I am sharing a card made with an older set from Jan’s Digi Stamps called Harvest Scarecrow. I knew one day I would want to color up this little flower image and this was the perfect time! I previously used this set once before in an October 2020 post, if you would like to see another take on the set. For today’s card, I also used a sentiment from another versatile JDS set called Signs of Autumn, which has so many beautiful, year round sentiments. Take a look at what comes in each set:

I used my Silhouette software to arrange the flower and sentiment to create a card front panel. Initially I was going to go completely CAS and make the white panel the full card front. But then I tripped over some old Authentique paper and fell in love with this pattern. The dot pattern around the flowers in the paper mimicked the flower center in the digi stamp. I printed the card panel on Bristol paper, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils that matched the paper. Then, I cut the panel down so some of that patterned paper would show but I created a thin mat for the focal panel in red to tie into the color palette on the patterned paper. I finished the card with a trio of rhinestones, and now I have an any-time-of-year thinking of you card! While everyone else is dreaming of spring, I was inspired to use a couple autumn sets for a non-autumn card!!! Leave it to my mojo to be totally out of season 🙄 Here is a close up picture of the colored image:

The rest of the team has made a gorgeous (and more seasonally appropriate) assortment of projects to share with you and to inspire you to play with your digis. Head over to the Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge site to see all the amazing cards, and to enter your latest creation in the March challenge!!! Remember you can enter up to 5 times per challenge, and we are a truly Anything Goes challenge!
Much more to come tomorrow when I (hopefully) have a card to share from my adventures with the Squirrel Sisters for our monthly edition of Squirrels Gone Nutz! I hope you will come back and join me for that!!!
