Deconstructed Challenge – Sketch 120

One of my favorite bloggers/crafter/colorers is Jen at deconstructingjen.com.  The woman has mad coloring skills.  She hosts a (weekly?) card sketch challenge.  I’ve used her archive of sketches before for inspiration, but I wanted to see if I could actually pull off a card during the current week’s challenge.  You can read more about the challenge at http://deconstructingjen.com/deconstructed-sketch-120/.  I had a bunch of random scraps on my desk and was able to use them to make this fall inspired card:

The leaves and inverted scalloped square are Spellbinders dies.  The greeting was cut with my Silhouette using the font “aka Dora”, a beautiful script.  A few rhinestones and a little ink sponging gave it a finishing touch.  Pretty clean and simple and went together quickly… though there was some muttered cursing when my Xyron fought with me and these delicate letters.  Thank goodness I had a Zig glue pen to fall back on or this card may not have seen the light of day!

Tomorrow I should be able to post a special Halloween card once I confirm it has been received by the intended recipient 🙂  Stay tuned!
