I guess I work best under pressure. I’ve known about this challenge for almost a month, but it took me until the last day to get off my butt and make something. I’ve been a customer and fan of MyScrapChick.com for years. They sell cut files and their stuff is really cute. If you subscribe to their newsletter they give you access to a free cut file every Friday. The September challenge is to use one of their files to make a fall project. You can learn more about it here: http://myscrapchick.blogspot.com/2013/09/youre-invited-to-harvest-linky-paper.html
Today is the last day of the challenge and thus far there are only 28 entries, so maybe I have a chance after all! Here is my entry into the Harvest Linky Paper Party:
I have a ton of files from these folks and had so many to choose from. I decided to go with something not in their Fall category of files for the base of the card. I used a file called Stack of Scalloped Borders available here for the bargain price of $1.00: http://www.myscrapchick.com/product.cfm?product=155 as well as a fall tag file called Acorn Tag for Fall Treats that you can find here, also for $1.00: http://www.myscrapchick.com/product.cfm?product=684. Both of these files were once freebies and were easy peasy to size and cut. The files come in multiple formats for different cutting machines, a PDF file, and a picture of a completed project.
Keep your fingers crossed for me… the 1st place winner receives $20.00 plus a $20.00 credit in the store!!! 2nd & 3rd place winners receive $10.00 in store credit.
