It’s the first Monday of November (how the heck did that happen?!?) which means the new challenge at Jan’s Digi Stamps challenge! You are a follower over at the challenge, right??? I hope so! Because for a limited time, Jan is offering a free digi stamp to her readers and challenge players!!! How cool is that? Read below for the details:

For my post today, I used an accessory image from a brand new set called Peppermint Mice. Ordinarily I would insert the watermarked picture of the image set, but my power and internet were both wiped out by Hurricane Zeta and I can’t access my files to add it here and at the time I type this, the set has not been uploaded to the store yet. I will edit the post as soon as I can though, but trust me… super cute!!! I used the pre-colored version of the image but after picking paper I realized I needed to tweak the color just a bit. With my Prismacolor pencils, I colored over the beautiful coloring Jan did to intensity the shades to match. It was easy to keep the shadows and hilights of the original precolored image. In an attempt to make the wreath fuller, I added a green halo of branches behind the drawn ones. With some colored cardstocks, I matted the focal and made a band across the center. A few rhinestones finished it off! If you are seeing this before my power and internet are restored, I extend my apologies for the inadequate photo taken outside with the sun wreaking havoc with shadows. I intend to replace the photo when I can use my photo lights!
