Trick or Treat Smell My Feet

MisplacedMojo.com MisplacedMojo.com

I thought this stamp set was so fun! Tuesday Morning recently had a bunch of different (apparently un-named) Halloween sets from American Crafts for super cheap. This particular set had an extra large sentiment… so large I had to cut it in half to make it fit an A2 card!!! This is the first half and the second half is inside. The background is ink blended with Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. The sentiment is heat embossed with Wow Silver Sparkle embossing powder. The card was finished off with some purple and silver sparkle bling that Want 2 Scrap used to sell at Expos years ago that I’ve slowly been using up. I used a couple other images from the same stamp set on the inside with the same embossing powder. I love a bold graphic sentiment, don’t you? Makes the rest of the card simple since the focus is on the sentiment!

I’m submitting this card to the following challenges:

    • LOL, I bet it must sound strange then!!! Here it is traditional for children to trick-or-treat in their neighborhoods. They ring they bell and when the door is answered they usually say “Trick or Treat!” but this saying is a sassy alternative, usually reserved for people you know. I haven’t given much thought to how or where it originated but it has always made me smile 😁 And Halloween is something I think everyone should experience!!!

  7. Ha! So funny! I don’t think my kids ever got it when I said this to them on Halloween. They just looked at me like I was weird but I have a cousin who said this every Halloween! What a great card!

    • I know!!! My son (now almost 19) probably thought the same every year I said it to him!!! True story… at 5 years old he pointed out to me that both his father and I told him many times never to take candy from strangers and now I was taking him door to door in a friend’s neighborhood where we knew no one to take candy at each house!!! I swear he’s been an adult trapped in the body of a child his entire life 🤣 He still has a knack for spotting the irony in a situation. Anyway, so glad you liked the card and that it brought back a fond memory of your cousin!
