Today’s card is a birthday card for my spunky sister in law. Her style is quite different from my own (I’m boring) so I struggle making cards for her. I think she’ll enjoy this funky paper by Studio Calico from the Here + There 6×6 pad that I just got. I love that it has positive affirmations all over it like “Thumb’s up – You are awesome!”, “Be Happy” and “Grow”… very fitting for her. I used last week’s sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout. The sentiment stamps on the front are from the Fiskars cling set called All Year Cheer and die cut with Spellbinders Circles. I did a little paper piercing on them and added Card Candi and layered everything with foam tape.
The inside sentiment is also Fiskars, but from the clear stamp set called Make a Wish. I’ve had the set forever and this is probably the first time this one has been inked up, but its perfect for my sister in law. I’m crafty, but she’s artsy 😉 More piercing, inked edges, Card Candi, and foam tape to tie it all in. Here’s a look at the inside:
