I made a cute little card for my dad using a handful of Dustin Pike images. If you haven’t checked out his store or his blog before, you should cause he has the sweetest, light hearted images. My dad could really use a happy, light hearted card around the holidays, so I try not to send him anything too sappy. What do you think? Will this make him smile???
I imported the digital stamps into my Silhouette software to size them and cut them out. Then I colored them with Promarkers, and inked the sky of the background with Memento inks in Sky Blue, Danube Blue, and Paris Dusk using a sponge dauber. I popped up the adorable Christmas carolers on foam tape after assembling the card using patterned paper from my stash.
Isn’t the inside sentiment so fitting??? I created it in the Silhouette software with a font I had on my computer and the music notes were once a freebie shape from the Silhouette store that I turned off the cut lines on so the whole thing would be a print and cut. Easy peasy! Love that I can use my digital images without having to cut and glue tiny items.
Be sure to check out the Dustin Pike sites if you like the illustrations. How this guy isn’t the Tim Holtz of digis yet, I do not know! Love them so much I bought a year worth of his monthly image packages. Hope y’all are more ready for Christmas than I am… I should be wrapping presents, but instead I’m blogging… priorities, eh? 😉
I’m entered this card in the following challenges:
- Crafty Calendar Challenge – Cold and Frosty –
- Cute Card Thursday – Celebrations –
- Digi Galore – Anything Goes –
- Love to Create – Anything Goes –

Super card.
