I am so excited to show you a special card I received in the mail! Today’s card is courtesy of Sharon, the only official Guest Designer here at Misplaced Mojo. I’m hoping to showcase quite a few of her projects (hint, hint Sharon!) in the coming months! 🙂 Have a look at what may be my favorite of her creations so far:
Sharon’s frightfully cute card was designed using Sketch #47 from deconstructingjen.com, one of our favorite go-to sites for sketches. I love all the layers on this card! The spider web is actually a Just Rite background stamp used to make the 4 panels which were then matted. The creepy but cool spider was cut from the October 31st Cricut cartridge and embellished with red gems for eyes and white gel pen, and popped up for dimension. She used the Sew Easy weave ribbon punch with glitter ribbon from We R Memory Keepers. A perfect sentiment was stamped, cut and layered using Spellbinders oval dies. I love how she used black gems to embellish the sentiment and to add detail to the centers of the spider webs!!! The perfect touch though was the embroidery floss! Sharon finished off the inside of the card with more Just Rite stamps… gotta love all those spiders!
So much to love about this card! I’m a big fan of layers and Sharon knows how much I love the black & white color combo!!! Glitter, ribbon, gems… so much detail it brings a smile to my face when I look at it. This card has earned a prime spot on my Halloween mantel… perhaps I will share some of those projects before Halloween!
Eek! Halloween is only 12 days away!!! Too soon to buy candy (unless I want to eat it all myself) but not enough time to get other projects done!
