Just a quick post to show you what I whipped up for my son’s teachers. I’ve gotten to know a few of them this year, and though its middle school now, I couldn’t help but send them a little something… and yes, I had the kiddo’s permission, though he didn’t offer to distribute them for me! I’m a volunteer often enough at school that I was able to get them taken care of. I didn’t get a pic, but I also gave the school secretary a poinsettia plant for all she has done for me this year already. Anyway, take a look at these Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark bars:
The bars are wrapped in the oldest Christmas paper I own, from some 12×12 pad I got from Walmart when I first starting scrapbooking maybe 8 or 9 years ago. I figured if I didn’t use it for this I wasn’t likely to use it at all! I stamped a Christmas image and border with Just Rite stamps and cut them out with an oval Spellbinder die. Had I not been trying to finish these around midnight before the last day of school before the break, I would have also cut scalloped ovals to put them on. The stamped images were colored with Promarkers, and I inked the edges of the ones with blue in the paper. I did make custom tags on the Silhouette, but like a dork, neglected to take pics… and that was the one thing the school secretary raved about! Go figure 😉 I made a total of 7 of these, with the others being duplicates of these papers.
I am entering this project in the Craft Your Passions – Anything But a Card (ABC) challenge. –
