Steampunk Halloween Card

Back for a 2nd post today… whoo hoo!  Just wanted to share the steampunk card I made for my son for Halloween.  He’s been on a steampunk / industrial kick for a few months so I thought he’d totally appreciate the style of this card:

The steampunk ghost and ghost hunter / explorer are digital freebies from Vince @ Crafty Moments.  He’s got some great images and he generously shares them for free.  I imported the pre-colored versions into the Silhouette software and did a Print & Cut.  In hindsight I wish I had given both images the same size shadow. That’s what I get for spreading the planning of this card out over several days!  The paper is from Carta Bella’s All Hallow’s Eve 6×6 pad.  I embellished with a strip of pewter Magic Mesh (which has been sitting untouched in my stash for years until now) and Card Candi in the corners.  I added paper and Magic Mesh scraps to embellosh the inside, and left the inside blank so I could add my own personal sentiment.  Considering I couldn’t add glitter, ribbon, buttons or bling, I think it came out pretty cool!  Let’s hope my 12 year old thinks the same!  Hope y’all have a safe and happy Halloween!!!

I am entering this at Crafty Calendar Challenges for their Halloween theme.
