2CCC July DT Post with Jan’s Digi Stamps

This post is kicking off the July challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies, where the theme is always Anything With a Critter! Your critter can be cutesy, creepy, realistic looking, silhouette, die cut… as long as the critter is prominent on your card. Our sponsor this month is the amazing Jan’s Digi Stamps, who has great critter images and so much more. If you haven’t checked out Jan’s site before, you’ll want to head over and see the variety of sets and check out how much you get in each one… so many images and sentiments in her sets! See what I mean?

This Christmas in July card was made with a set aptly named Reindeer. The set includes not just the silhouette images but also b/w and colored images, as well as 4 beautiful sentiments! For this card I chose to use the silhouette image of a deer family. I printed it on bristol paper, die cut with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die, and ink blended with a couple Distress Oxide inks in shades of blue. I added a shadow to the snow beneath them with Promarkers and faded it out with the colorless blender. I found the perfect coordinating patterned paper in my stash. I used a Crafter’s Companion die set called Frosty Christmas to die cut a snowflake from white shimmer paper and added some bling to finish it off. Here’s another look:

I hope you are as excited as I am to see what my teamies made for this challenge! So come over to the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge to see and to enter your own critter card in the challenge. And while you are at it, submit it to Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge too, where its always Anything Goes! Don’t forget to pay a visit to Jan’s Digi Stamps, where they are having a Christmas in July sale you do not want to miss!!! All Christmas sets are 25% off the whole month of July!!! No code necessary! Hope this chilly Christmas card cooled you off a bit from these warm summer temps! 😊 Until next time…
