2 Crazy Critters Challenge DT post with Bugaboo Stamps

Howdy all! What a crazy and wonderful time of year, right? I’m up enjoying all the holiday festivities with my family but wanted to pop in with a card for 2CCC’s January challenge! I used Bugaboo’s Hedgie Birthday 02 to make a sweet birthday card for someone special. I used Prismacolor pencils to color this little cutie up. Here’s a closer picture:

This isn’t the only awesome image from Bugaboo Stamps either! You should head over and check out all they have to offer! Be sure to check out their Freebies and Sale page first as new images are 50% off the first week, and they post a new freebie every Friday!!! For that matter, sign up for their newsletter so you don’t miss any of their new releases or promotions! Annnnddd… don’t forget to see what the rest of the 2CCC DT has made for the challenge, and to play along with any creation you have made *with a critter*. It doesn’t have to be a Bugaboo image even though they are this month’s awesome sponsor!

Couple notes on this card… I used Pink & Main Rounded Rectangle dies for the image and sentiment. The patterned paper from The Paper Studios had glitter accents, so I added Stickles to parts of the image and added glitter epoxy dots from Pink & Main as accents.

ETA: This card was chosen as a Top Pick by Crafting Happiness!!! 2020 Top Picks Here&

a Top 3 Pick by Sparkles Forum Challenge!!! Top 3 Badge

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

    • Thank you for the sweet comment! Submitting to challenges is usually more time consuming than making the card, LOL! But I figure it wouldn’t hurt if it got the 2CCC challenge some exposure, or drum up more followers for my own blog. Sometimes I think the majority of people submitting to challenges are actually DT members of other challenges!!! LOL

  30. what an adorable little guy celebrating with a cupcake! I adore the background paper with even more cupcakes and your coloring is fantastic! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your thoughtful comments – they made my day! Now, good luck with that snippet box in the coming year. I may have more than one myself *wink*

    • I may have a couple boxes of snippets, and maybe even another box of backgrounds, mostly stenciled designs. Now, you would think it would be easy to match them up and bust out a ton of cards, but no. The backgrounds are too busy for most of the snippets, die cuts, and colored stamped images. I’m trying to think up a way to use all those backgrounds too this year! If I can pull it off, I may even make a blog series about it. I can’t be the only one who spent time experimenting and making backgrounds, then can’t figure out how to use them!

    • Aw shucks, Renee’!!! That is so sweet but I promise I didn’t do anything complicated. In fact, I use Bristol paper for my coloring, which doesn’t take as many layers as paper designed for colored pencils. I find it faster though because the tooth of the paper fills up quickly. The down side is it doesn’t allow for a ton of color mixing. But that’s how I rationalize the FULL set of pencils 😁 Thank you so much for the kind words!!!
