A Deconstructed Halloween

If you’ve read my blog for any length of time (like, the last 30 days) you would know that my BFF and I are big fans of the card sketches at DeconstructingJen.com and use her archive to pick sketches we like.  Then we each whip up a card for whatever occasion we have a need for.  This week’s friendly challenge is using deconstructed sketch #38.  Here’s my take on the sketch:

I stretched out the sketch to make a 6×6 square card instead of rectangular.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park’s Chillingsworth Manor 6×6 pad.  The colored panels were embossed with Lifestyle Crafts Zig Zag embossing folder.  The image is this week’s freebie by Elizabeth Dulemba, which I colored with Promarkers and inked with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.  The sentiment is by ArtiCrafts by Rebecca.  Both images were imported into the Silhouette software and cut with the Print & Cut feature.  The inside is blank to write my own spooky message.  I think you will see this sketch again soon… I really liked the style and element placement.

I’m linking this to E’s gallery and I’ll be back with one more Halloween card before this fright night is over!
